Pledge Music Campaign Coming Soon!!!

PLEDGE MUSIC CAMPAIGN - MAJOR NEWS
This is it! We are taking a step into the present day and the future of music. We began speaking to PledgeMusic and we pitched our new music project. PledgeMusic selectively chooses their projects and they chose to back our project.  If you don't know what PledgeMusic is no worries. It's basically the Kickstarter for music but way better.  PledgeMusic is much more personal, user friendly and it's amazing platform for us to work with you through the process of making this new album.

You are the first to know about this campaign, It's so new that we haven't even completed all the paperwork for it yet. Currently we are coming up with ideas for exclusive offerings, project descriptions and organizing an official video. Just to give you an idea, on a very basic level, how this will work. Ultimately we need to reach a money goal and during this time period we will be posting all sorts of exclusive content and you all have the opportunity to purchase lots of really cool one of a kind merchandise. In general if you were to pledge the minimum amount you will receive a pre release download of the album & access to exclusive updates. You will then be able to interact with us and other pledgers during the making of the album on a discussion board. We will also be asking pledgers to come up with album names, possibly song titles & album art.  We want to work as closely as humanly possibly with you to create this.

Also it is possible to go way over our financial goal, which will help in so many ways. Not only will the expenses for the album be covered, but we can then afford more merchandise to offer (maybe vinyl/more music/new music video?)  Also all the downloads are reported to soundscan! This means that if there are a ton of pledgers you could be responsible with getting Midnight Mob on the actual Billboard Charts! We have the opportunity of being next to all the crap that's played on the radio wouldn't that be a kick in the face!

All in all this will be such an intense journey and we really would like you to be apart of it, At this time this campaign has not gone live yet. We are still organizing everything, but we just wanted to give you a heads up on what to expect in the near future and to start spreading the word. It's never too early to start hyping something. Tell anyone that you think will interested in supporting.  Also let us know any feedback you are getting.

As our initial collaboration on this project we have a question for you besides hyping this:
What exclusive item would you like to see available in our pledgemusic project? Signed CD's, Skype Sessions, Handwritten Lyric Sheet, Name in Liner notes, signed tour banner etc...? We have already come up with about 20 and their price points, but we would love to hear from you. Your opinion will help so much. Think outside the box it can be anything. In addition, to the new music what else would you really want to purchase?

Thank you so much for supporting us! The foundation to every great band are amazing fans. We couldn't ask for anything more.

Peace, Love Swag N Roll,
Blackey, Carly, Squeeze, Spydyr & Beatz

Our October newsletter of all that's going on in MM land will be going out this Saturday 5pm eastern time.  We decided to delay it because we wanted to use video footage from the CBGB show which was this past Sunday.  This show was awesome and will have a whole other post devoted to it shortly.

The giveaway this month will be Midnight Mob Carly art as well as our Swag N Roll single that we sell at our shows which includes demo versions of unreleased tracks.  We have 2 copies of this single that we will be giving out.  First maniacs that respond will have an opportunity at some free Midnight Mob swag.

Any questions, recommendations, opinions, conversation please feel free through our mailing list subscriber only email and/or private facebook group!

Fingers Metal Shop (11/1 Revolution, Amityville, NY)

We are so pumped to be playing this show especially with our buddies Craving Strange.  It is crazy to believe Fingers has been rockin metal shop for 31yrs.  Metal Shop was huge for myself growing up at a time and learning guitar where all you heard on the radio & Mtv was Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys & Limp Bizkit.  Guitar riffs and solos were virtually non existent unless you tuned into Metal Shop late at night and early morning.  Fingers introduced me to bands such as Clutch, Savatage, Fu Manchu, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Motorhead etc... and has been a true supporter of rock n roll for all these years.

On Saturday November 1 we will be celebrating Finger's accomplishment at Revolution in Amityville, NY.  We have 50 free tix to giveaway for this show which is 18+, but under 18 can attend as long as accompanied by an adult.  If you would like a free ticket send us an email (JoinTheMidnightMob@gmail.com) and/or contact us on facebook.  Our set time is 11pm sharp and we are directly followed by Craving Strange around midnight.  Revolution is an awesome venue to see bands from a great stage, sound and lighting to excellent drink specials & food.

Come down and make a night out of it! This will be our final Long Island show of the year until a month or two into 2015, which we are looking to make our cd release show.  Hope to see you at the show!

September Mailing List

This months mailing list will be scheduled for Monday evening, 9/8.  It's a little delayed because we accidentally exceeded our vimeo weekly upload limit so we have to push it off another day. That's what we get for uploading extensive rehearsal footage.  For those already subscribed head over to our vimeo channel and enter the password to watch the new upload.  There will also be another giveaway.

We are making room for new inventory and as a means of doing that our last 2 never to be printed ever again shirts will be the giveaway as well as our last bumper stickers.  There will be one white female tattoo logo t-shirt and the lone remaining men's crew neck charcoal tattoo logo shirt.  First 2 to respond to the newsletter will have first crack at a free shirt and the 2nd to respond will have what the 1st responder did not choose.  Be quick or be dead maniacs!  Also in this newsletter you will have first exclusive look at our video for Be Mine done by the wonderful Adam Bailey, whom is responsible for These Days. There will also be a major show announcement or at least a hint because we are sworn not to fully disclose in order to avoid mass hysteria.

In addition, for those of you who won last months giveaway your sweet treats will be mailed out shortly. Our romp through the midwest put us back a little bit so now we're finally catching up. If you don't believe us you can see your already prepared package on our closed facebook group.  Carly did a video to prove they're ready to be shipped plus she added her artistic touch to each giveaway package.

Friends & new show on 8/14!

We have been traveling here and there over the past couple of years meeting people from all walks of life and it's truly an amazing experience. Some open there homes to us, some feed us, some give us money, some a shower and some give us some great stories.  The people we meet along the way vary from random chance encounters like I wasn't planning on coming tonight but glad I did to passionate music fans to bands we play with and build longlasting relationships with. One of which, Adam Bailey, we met as a drummer in Savannah, GA then years later ended up filming our These Days video to crashing on my couch & buying me Knob Creek to recently moving to Brooklyn.  We all Believe in Adam Bailey!

Recently we had such support from bands we have became close to and when another band was in need came swooping in to help out.  The first that came out of nowhere was Florida based band Burning Fair Verona (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j7Uxo2Ds4U).  We will be playing with them in Nashville in 2 weeks and they heard of our woes trying to book FL in September and within a day they had a show to offer to us.  Unfortunately we couldn't take because it was a 9 hour voyage from our AL show, but it was on the table.  We offered them a show in Brooklyn but that was way out of the way for them.  When you have a chance check them out!

The other experience was a result of us having our show last minute being canceled on 8/14 in Buffalo. When in doubt hit up your friends they'll have an answer and that's exactly what happened. Our buddies in Silouette Lies & Sucker put a show together for us in Wilkes-Barre at The Factory Underground! Now that is band love to the core. We have played with these bands multiple times and they always put on great shows with great music and a kick a** attitude.  You can checkout Silouette Lies here http://www.reverbnation.com/silhouetteliesrock and Sucker here http://www.reverbnation.com/candivee. Drop them a line on facebook!

NEW SHOW: Thursday 8/14, The Factory: Underground, Wilkes Barre, PA
As our thank you to the bands playing this show each person there that buys merch from any of the other bands will also get a free Midnight Mob CD!!!

Peace, Love, Swag N Roll...

August Newsletter

So originally we said the newsletter would go out originally Friday 8/1 at noon, but we decided that this wouldn't be fair because we have subscribers that respond to our giveaways from different parts of the world.  We decided that our newsletter will be going out on Saturday, 8/2, 4:00pm eastern time.  The giveaway is lots of new merchandise that has just come in or will be coming in next week including sunglasses and bottle openers!

The first 5 to reply to the newsletter with their mailing address wins the giveaway! Good Luck Maniacs!

Midnight Mob Signs onto Philly based Label

Recently we were contacted by CEO, David Esposito, of Fireback Records about joining their roster.  After hearing him out and reviewing what the label had to offer it was a no brainer to join.  You can visit Fireback Records at www.FirebackRecords.com and check them out for yourselves.

The world of music has changed so much it's ridiculous.  There is no such thing anymore as getting picked up by a super label and have tons of money thrown at you and invested into your band. Now it's all on the band to organize, fund and execute everything.  Fireback Records is one of those situations where an indie band can say thank you, you have taken alot of the burden off our shoulders so we can focus on songwriting. You wish there were more companies like this around to just genuinely help at a very reasonable price with no contracts.  PR companies cost an arm and a leg and you're not guaranteed anything.  You basically hope to not get scammed (avoid ArtistPR.com).

Now that I think of it.  It makes sense finding a new partner in the city of brotherly love. Cheers to you Fireback & looking forward to our partnership!

July Newsletter & T-Shirt Giveaway

The newsletter is scheduled to go out tomorrow and will be through Get Response most likely around noon, Saturday 7/5.  We figured to delay it 1 day after the holiday.

This newsletter is also a T-Shirt Giveaway and it was kind of a last minute idea.  Yesterday we were organizing our merch and while taking inventory we realized that we have 2 old school gray medium tanks leftover.  These tanks fit like a basketball jersey, were experimental when we printed them up and will not be ordered.

We're going to work this the same way as the UK cd, which was extremely successful.  The first 2 maniacs that respond to the newsletter with their mailing address win a gray medium tank.  If you respond first, but don't leave your mailing address we're giving the shirt to the next maniac that gives their mailing address.

Please note that we have "cleaned" our mailing list.  We have been compiling analytics to see which people interact with our newsletters and which ones don't. All those that have interacted will remain on the list and all of those that have not, have been unsubcribed.  The reasons why did this was because we were kicked off our latest mailing service, Benchmark, due to receiving complaints from 2 subscribers and we want to avoid spamming everyone.  Since Benchmark gave us the boot we are now trying Get Reponse so if you see Get Response anywhere it is most likely from us.  If you do not receive the newsletter tomorrow and you previously signed up, but were removed then please sign up again!  You can do this through our blog using Fanbridge, which we are keeping until Get Response is completely up and running.  We will be reviewing our list much more closely going forward after our most recent experience.

Have an explosive fourth probably more ways than one!

Aug 2014 Midwest Tour -> Need Your Help!

For the last 2 weeks we have been attempting to put together a string of shows in August going out to Nebraska and back. Once again we have hit another speed bump. During our downtime with our drummer situation our booking agent's company merged with another company and very recently we learned that we have been left to our own devices once again.  For the last 2 years our agent would take this work off our shoulders so we could focus on other stuff on our plate.

We are writing this to anyone that can help us fill our tour dates in anyway possible. Even if you can't book the show but can offer a contact a venue to email that would be extremely helpful. Below is a rough schedule of cities and dates that would be the most efficient. These dates and areas are ideal but we are completely flexible as well.  Of the 10 dates listed we would like to book at least 8 of 10.

Thu 8/7 - Pittsburgh, PA

Fri 8/8 - Indianapolis, IN (Last year played Melody Inn)

Sat 8/9 - Cedar Rapids/Des Moines, IA

Sun 8/10 - Omaha, NE

Mon 8/11 - Chicago, IL (Last year played The Elbo Room)

Tues 8/12 - Cleveland, OH

Wed 8/13 - Erie, PA (2 Years ago played The Crooked I)

Thu 8/14 - Buffalo, NY

Fri 8/15 - Albany, NY (Booked The Low Beat)

Sat 8/16 - Brooklyn, NY (Booked Tamaqua Club)

The venues booked don't have to be the most extravagant and the guarantees could just be gas money. We really just want to get out to these areas that we haven't been before where alot of people have been asking us to come.  All we need is electricity and some fello rock n rollas. Any help whatsoever as small as a slice of pizza is extremely helpful and much appreciated!

Here are some links you can use to possibly land us a show or just promote our name:

Mailing List Updates

For the maniacs subscribed to our mailing list you might be wondering why we have been so quiet. Well it's because we are changing over to a new email marketing service provider soon.  We basically grew out of the old one and we wanted to be able to offer our subscribers the best more efficiently.  We tried out a few services for the past month before finally settling on one. For all you sole proprietors out there the provider we're rolling with is Benchmark.

There will be a few changes due to switching to Benchmark:
1. Q&A will be done through our Reverbnation page: www.ReverbNation.com/MidnightMob
  - Choose the anonymous option when asking the question if you do not want to create a profile. If you do        this please end the question with a name and city and/or state.
  - Any questions asked through Fanbridge have been saved and we're planning on doing video answers           through our new Vimeo channel

2. We are moving our subscriber youtube video channel to a password protected Vimeo channel, which the     password will be forwarded in every newsletter

3. All Mp3 giveaways will now be done through our Official We Transfer Channel

4. For certain shows we will be making a private subscriber only event site, which allows us to provide             certain perks at the show for our subscribers

The plan going forward so far is first Monday each month there will be an email regarding this month's events, first Friday of every month will be the monthly newsletter and the second Monday will be something new where we will recommend certain music related stuff like cd's and movies.

We hope to kick this off this Friday! Any questions/ comments send us an email. Peace!

Anarchy in the UK!

Huge thank you goes out to Stu Taylor and STP Records for going out of their way to help promote us. We were contacted sometime last year by Stu Taylor asking if we were interested in having our music printed up and distributed through his label STP Records (http://www.stprecords.co.uk/).  Stu listened to our music, dug it, asked if we were interested and delivered with flying colors.

The intention of this release is to get some press, promoters and radio interested in developing a market for us out in the UK with the hopes of following it up with tour dates.  Since its very recent release "These Days" has already received two great reviews by Uber Rock (http://bit.ly/O9qVax) and The RingMaster Review (http://bit.ly/1nWUTLT). Currently we are working on our third review from Planet Mosh (http://planetmosh.com), which the filming was completed already and will be edited this week.

This UK limited edition is titled "These Days" titled after our acoustic track which has an accompanied music video (http://bit.ly/1eS6PM4) and is a combination of our 2 EP's our self titled EP plus the first 6 tracks from our second EP, Black Moon Rising (http://bit.ly/MM4eIX).  We had the option of releasing the "These Days" album with the same artwork as Black Moon Rising, but figured what fun would that be.  Midnight Mob is hardcore about buying cd's, vinyl, singles, box sets etc...  Whenever we have downtime in a new place we ask around about a record store to check out.  The different special packaging or maybe an unreleased track always makes it a worthwhile collectible item. It's sad alot of this stuff is disappearing. Fortunately for us STP Records wanted to print this Limited Edition CD, which means you have the opportunity to get your meaty paws on one!

How do you get a copy you wonder...? You have 2 options.  One is to go to the STP Records website click on Limited Edition releases and add a copy to your shopping cart OR we can give you a free copy as a perk for subscribing to our mailing list.  STP Records forwarded us 15 copies and of course the band kept 5, but we would love to give 10 moblins the opportunity to win a free copy!

You have to subscribe to our mailing list in order to have a chance (www.MidnightMob.Fanbridge.com) otherwise no dice.  If you don't win a copy you're still a happy moblin because by subscribing you'll get a free MP3 download plus chances to win other goodies and access to our subscriber only youtube channel.

How will this work!? We were unable to do a March video newsletter because we had a bunch of other stuff going on and it slipped through the cracks, but an April newsletter is in the making! Before our newsletter is emailed we will make sure everyone knows exactly when to expect it.  As soon as you get the email respond with your name, shipping address and any special instructions.  First 10 that respond get a copy and only 1 per moblin.  It's that easy! We'll keep you posted on a date and time through all our social media. Peace!

Back for More

Finally we are playing electric full band again! Tomorrow is the first electric show since the first week of December and it has felt like an eternity.  During our down time we have worked all of our music into acoustic arrangements and have continued to write new material to be recorded  this year.  We have lots of material on the horizon waiting for the perfect drummer to sit down and rocktopus it.

Tomorrow is the perfect coming back out of hibernation show, which takes place at sold out Mercury Lounge NYC.  We will be supporting our brother band Mother (www.RockYourMother.com) who is releasing their new EP, which was recorded by Dave Caggiano at Betamax Studios. Dave is the same producer that worked on all of our material.  After the show is an after party at Idle Hands with the Sailor Jerry Rum girls who will be handing out freebies! We also just found out that "HIM" will also be attending the Idle Hands Bar with his after party.

We were debating debuting a new song tomorrow with only 3 practices behind it and after the third practice we decided it's definitely in the set.  This song still untitled and not fullly worked out yet has a punk n roll queens of the stoneage vibe to it and we can't wait to record it. Our friend Chris Beretto will be drumming for us at this show and he has brought so much life to our music it's amazing! It is such a good feeling to get out there again and do what we love.  Chris has agreed to help us out for a little bit, which will help us get alot more new music out there even faster than we thought. We'll also be able to get some shows on our tour schedule so keep an eye for your area this summer!

Just had to share this little tidbit of excitement with all of you! Itching to get back up on a stage again between the half stacks & energy from the crowd.

See you tomorrow! Peace, Love, Swag N Roll...

I Wanna Rock! ....Rock!!!!

2/27/14: Tonight we are really excited to be apart of Mother's (NYC Band - www.RockYourMother.com) cd release pre party!

The show tonight is an invite only exclusive deal.  All the bands playing the CD release on 3/14 at Mercury Lounge are playing short initimate acoustic sets tonight where there will be merchandise discounts as well as an open bar.  If you subscribed to our mailing list you have received the rsvp link needed to attend this event.  Also at this event we will be selling tix for the Mercury Lounge show.  Can't to hang with all our friends tonight, but bundle up because it's ridic out.

2/28/14: Tomorrow's Festivities, Craving Strange's (www.CravingStrange.net) CD release show, are at Revolution Bar & Music Hall in Amityville!

For all the Long Island rock n rollers this is an event not to be missed!  It will be a dysfunctional family reunion, which everyone can actually attend! Yes even you from the UK! This entire event will be available via live stream at www.RenegadeRadio.net. Everyone can witness the rock stylings of Midnight Mob, Craving Strange, Revel9, Jackknife Stiletto & Pedestrian KO as well as all the antics that will ensue!  We will let you know about interaction through this live stream.

We will be playing an acoustic set at this show beginning at 8:30.  Unfortunately we were unable to work with a drummer to do this show full out mob style. We have actually been getting alot of compliments regarding our acoustic sets lately, which was a huge surprise to us.  We're used to do doing a more in your face sort of live set & to sit one place unplugged is crazy different.  For those of you who are familiar with the material our acoustic versions are reworked as such with slightly different parts and arrangements with 3 guitars and no bass which allows us to add lots of melody.

If you ordered tix via our paypal box office and have not received them by tonight fear not! We have been really busy this week practicing, filling orders, getting tix out etc... So if you have paid for a ticket through paypal & do not have one we will place your order at the door under the name you purchased the tix.  Any questions hit us up through email and/or facebook!

This weekend is going to be awesome & it starts one day early! Can't wait to see everyone at the shows! Peace!

Paint it Black!

We would like to thank everyone so much for supporting us over the years, it's been truly amazing. We get messages from people everyday telling us they love our music & admire our passion for pursuing it.

If you follow us on facebook (www.facebook.com/JoinTheMidnightMob) then you know we like to poll our fans on certain things. It's a way for us to get to know who we are talking to and extracting some feedback when we are questioning things we may want to do.  We have polled everything from cover songs, comic books, facebook group & touring. These polls allow us to cater to our fanbases likes and encourage participation in Midnight Mob. Unfortunately it takes a while to act some of these, but they are never forgotten. We like to keep logs of the responses.

Anyways one of these polls was asking if Blackey should have her own Facebook page. We had such an overwhelming response that we had to do it. The only reason why we questioned it is because it takes a lot of time to consistantly maintain all social media platforms in addition to writing, recording, networking etc... We didn't want to put something out there that wasn't quality. Quality over quantity is our mantra and is probably why we take so long to complete new material, but rest assured it's on its way!

Blackey's fan page was officially published yesterday morning (www.facebook.com/blackeydeathproof). If you would like: stop by and say hi, post something about how we met, post a pic of us hanging out, post a suggestion/request, if you want something signed send a message, basically anything. Lets gets to know each other. The one thing we would like to make clear is that this page is not about a trillion likes it's about legit personal connection and just another means of accomodating that want.  The plan as of now is to do maybe one post a day on this page at noon which may be personal, show ad, poll the audience sort of thing, promo for another band/business/aritst, videos, pictures etc... in addition to responding to any of your posts. Again quality over quantity.  We love sharing others stuff so post away or message a special request for us to advertise it on either page.

Horn up Moblins!

Be Interviewed by Blackey!

Since we have not been traveling it has really opened up time to brainstorm not only with new material but with other stuff.  One of which is being able to make it to more of our friend's shows and bands we have been hearing about.  We decided to take it one step further.

Throughout our time as a band we have really enjoyed doing interviews no matter how big or small. We love talking about Midnight Mob what we're up to, what's next etc...  An interview is the band's time to show how passionate they are about their craft and give a more personal insight to the personalites that make the music.  So we figured why not interview our friend's bands and band's we meet while touring. Sometimes it's also a little more comfortable for a musician to interview another musician and ask questions based on our experiences we all have shared.  We will also ask questions that we have received through our mailing list as well.

So this is an advertisement to band's, artists, entrepreneuers etc... If you would like Blackey to do a video interview with you please message us! This is meant to help as an additional medium to promote.  All videos will be edited clean to maximize exposure and thrown up on our official Midnight Mob youtube channel. We will also forward you the raw file so you can upload it on your channel.  In addition, we are thinking of beginning a free podcast containing these interviews which will be put up on itunes and other platforms in audio format.

Currently we are testing the waters to see how well this works:  We just completed the first one with the NYC band Race to Dawn. Check it out here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-cPJqiC2-M

Give us some feedback!

Drummer Wanted Ad (Please Share)

High energy touring Rock N Roll band. We have traveled as far as TX and New Orleans various times, released 2 Ep's, 4 official music videos and have done various radio appearances.  Recently had an album released through a indenpendent UK label with the hopes of stimulating enough buzz that we can do a small tour over there. We own our 15 passenger touring van (Glenn Vanzig), have a producer and booking agent. We have many highend music industry connections waiting for us to deliver the goods so they can put their weight behind it and make Midnight Mob a household name. Our original drummer left late summer 2013.

Seeking Drummer:
1. Audition period can last months
2. Practice 4x a week
3. You will be putting in approximately $200 a month for band expenses (Varies based on shows for the month. Most out of state shows have promised guarantees and we can make a chunk of change off of merchandise)
4. You will be interviewed by our producer as well as play for him
5. First live shows with us will be at local dive bars under a fake name, where we will gather feedback from each other as well as our closest friends at these shows
6. Must be versatile/open to various styles of drumming from double bass metal to brushes for 7. acoustic to groove for some funkiness
7. Must have quality drum kit with protective cases for all gear
8. Must be able to travel in a van for extended periods of time (We sleep on each other sometimes).
9. We have made plenty of friends all over so we do have access to many houses, but if we have to make time then we may have to van it.  Some venues put us up in hotels.
10. Understand that an original is a business first and rewarded with the party. We are a federally registered business entity and maintain sales & expenses no different than any other business.
11. Understand that being in a band is social environment. It's all about networking, having a goodtime with the people that came out to see the show and letting loose with your bandmates.

All of the above may sound really serious because it is. The 4 of us love this band and have been through hell pushing it.  The funny thing is that we are extremely laid back and just love everything about music as well as movies, comics, sports, fitness, mario party, food etc...  It's really important for us to choose someone that has a personality and mindset that meshes in addition to being a great musician. Even if you don't have any band experience, but have great groove & positive outlook there's no reason why you can't join us.  In the end we need someone with heart.

Happy New Year! 1st Newsletter Soon!

First off Midnight Mob would like to say happy new year to all! This year is going to be awesome. There will be new music, videos, photos, logo and lots more tour dates. We're looking to hit up new areas out towards Nebraska as well as down to the Carolinas.  Hopefully we'll be through the AL area in September. Right now it looks like April for our tour madness to begin, we'll keep you all posted.  We're also hoping to solidify a new drummer so please contact us if you are interested.  As you may have noticed we have kept a low social profile.  Needed to take some time to really dig in and complete all of the above mentioned stuff.

In addition, our first 2014 newsletter will be sent out very soon (so watch your email) and we're trying a new format. The newsletter will be monthly and in video format done by countess Blackey herself as well as special guests.

Also when you have a chance update your mailing list subscriber info to include your bday because you will get a special video on this special day from us.  You can update your information by clicking a link in our newsletter. Check your email between 4:30 & 5.
